why tignes
Fantastic skiing.Enormous amounts of varied terrain.
Some of the best off-piste going.
One of the best linked ski resorts in the world.
Great atmosphere in the village.
the development centre operates out of Tignes, and Val d'Isere, world famous resorts in the heart of the French Alps. The Espace Killy ski area has the perfect terrain to compliment our clinics, from sweeping groomed runs to extensive off-piste. The year-round skiing is linked between Tignes and Val d'Isere and both resorts provides assured early and late season snow. We have chosen Tignes for a number of reasons, not least because it is where we love to ski!
the development centre tignes, is based out of the Precision Ski shop in Tignes le Lac, in the heart of Tignes, just across the piste from the Areoski lift.

Gavin Lewis
Gavin is a fully qualified British ISTD instructor who has worked and taught in the Alps over the last six years. Having worked in Zermatt, Switzerland he is now looking forward to bringing his high level, performance focused approach to tdc Tignes. Skiing since he was 4 yrs old Gavin is a strong all rounder who particularly likes the seat-of - your-pants rush of fast, big mountain skiing. Having passed every exam at the first attempt, his commitment to innovative skiing and the latest techniques ensures his coaching remains at the forefront of the sport. He has a degree for Durham University and a love of the card table, he enjoys sharking the soft seats, getting out on the football pitch and also his bike whenever he can. With hair that should have died with the eighties and a liking for bad music we just hope his gran can persuade him to have a hair cut.
James Stewart-Hunter
James (aka. JSH) having worked in Val d'Isere, Nendaz and Zermatt, he is now returning to the Espace Killy where his ski seasons began 7 years ago. He is a fully qualified British ISTD and with his love of skiing and ski coaching, he is excited to bring his high levels of performance and upto date techniques to TDC Tignes.James and his cheesey grin can be found all over the mountain depening on where the snow is, whether it be in the gates, in the moguls or just shredding some powder!.....
James is still at University doing a degree in Life, which he has been studying since he left school 10 years ago. He complements his winters coaching with finding some thumping whiter water somwhere on the
globe, working as a rafting guide in the summer. He can also be found dry stone walling on his Dads farm in Somerset or training on Bognor Regis seafront, to one day compete in the 'Bognor Regis International Birdman Competion'.
