TDC Val d’Isère is a truly British ski coaching centre and ski school.

If you want to get more out of your skiing; maybe you've tried traditional ski schools and ski lessons with no success, then come and see the team at TDC, and we will help you move your skiing to the next level.

Kim Bruce

- Val d'Isere

Skiing since the age of two in the French Alps and new to the TDC team 2013/14, Kim is excited to work in Val d’Isere and share her passion for the mountains and snow.

Kim was given elite athlete status at University in Edinburgh due to her success in ski racing at international level.

This enabled her to work her way through the BASI system and gain her Level 4 ISTD at the same time as completing a Sports and Exercise Science degree.

Coming from a racing background and a former national team member Kim is bringing her wealth of experience and in depth knowledge along with her passion for skiing to the TDC team.

Kim spends her summers teaching and coaching skiing in New Zealand. She has also worked in Japan, Italy, Switzerland. Her permanent winter base is now in France working in the TDC team.

Rich Jones

- Val d'Isere

Rich loves skiing;starting at the age of 3 with his parents who also love the sport.

After graduating with a degree in Engineering from Nottingham University, he decided it was time to move to the mountains full time.

Rich is new to the TDCski team for 2013, but he is certainly not new to Val d'Isere having spent the last 10 years enjoying all that the Espace Killy has to offer. From green runs to the best off piste Rich knows the area inside out.

Rich also works for Planks Clothing in the development of technical products. Summers are spent in the South West of France, with girlfriend Sara.

Rich holds the BASI Level 4 ISTD with French equivalence.

Gavin Paley

- Val d'Isere

Gavin was born in County Durham and his love for skiing started on school skiing holidays in Italy.

He has worked for 11 seasons teaching skiing. From Andorra he was drawn to the Espace Killy and began teaching with an independent French ski school.

Gavin holds the BASI Level 4 ISTD with French equivalence.

He has built up a wealth of ski coaching experience and loves sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm with his clients. Gavin has a passion for coaching and developing children.

Gavin is a qualified personal trainer. Gavin is married to Louise who runs Bonne Sante Physiotherapy and Massage in Val d'Isere.

Terry Walker

- Val d'Isere

Terry’s first ski trip was the start of his obsession with the mountains, and he would draw pictures of snow capped peaks with crayons for years after.

Then going on to play lots of rugby at university and work in various offices around the world, he achieved his real ambition by becoming a BASI 4 ISTD, and Mountaineering Instructor Award.

Now he works with TDCski in the Winter and runs his own rock climbing courses around North Wales in the Summer.

Terry teaches with versatility, he loves jumping around with freestyle teens, and also speaks fluent 'technical geek’.

Joe Harkess

- Val d'Isere

Growing up in the south of Germany, Joe has been skiing since the age of 6. Driving to the Alps on a Friday after school to squeeze in a weekends skiing was the norm.

It wasn't until the age of 16, being back in the UK and reduced to one or two weeks a season, Joe realized how much he loved and missed those quick ski trips. Since then a gap year has turned into a lifestyle and career, spending winters in the Alps and summers in the southern hemisphere or the glaciers and snowdomes of Europe.

Competing in Freeride, Freestyle and Giant Slalom events Joe has built up a strong platform and adaptability discovering how the very different disciplines compliment each other and create a well-rounded skier.

Joe holds the BASI Level 4 ISTD with French equivalence and Freestyle coach.

Clare Richards

- Val d'Isere

Clare was introduced to skiing at the age of 5, by her very enthusiastic father.

With a degree and a Masters in Psychology at Bristol University, and also working in various aspects of Clinical Psychology, Clare was drawn to Val d'Isere for the season – and has never looked back.

From chalet girl beginnings she has worked her way through the BASI system to reach the ISTD Level 4.

As a member of the TDCski team Clare loves sharing her passion for the mountains, skiing and snow!

During the summer months, recently she has been based in a residential school for children with autism.

Clare also runs a small accommodation business in Val d'Isere with her husband Steve - Fresh Chalets.

Lena Haurits

- Val d'Isere

Since joining the TDCski team Lena has become a well established and well loved member of the team.

Lena's a seriously talented skier, coach, teacher and all-round sportsperson.

Lena has trained with TDCski and then went on to be successful in all her highest level BASI exams.

Lena holds the BASI Level 4 ISTD with French equivalence.

Ever smiling and happy to be in the mountains, Lena works well with all levels, children and adults.

Steve Angus

- Val d'Isere

Since being inspired as a kid on school ski trips skiing has been Steve's passion in life.

After obtaining a degree in Geography from Royal Holloway, University of London, then working in ski tour operations in the UK Steve knew he had to get out to the snow full-time.

Steve heard about and joined the inspiring team at TDCski.

Steve has his level BASI Level 4 ISTD with full French Equivalence exams. He is also a qualified Race Coach, Freestyle Coach, Snowboard and Adaptive Teacher.

Ski teaching has taken Steve to Japan, Austria, Australia, Canada and New Zealand. Steve teaches all year round (Summers teaching at a Snow Dome in UK) as well as teaching geography in secondary schools. Steve's enthusiasm, knowledge and experience will help you achieve your goals and aspirations.

Steve and his wife Clare also run a small and personal chalet business in Val d'Isere called - Fresh Chalets.

Ben Langridge

- Val d'Isere

Ben first put on a pair of skis at 5 years old and immediately caught the bug. Ben even managed to take a degree module in Alpine Skiing at Grenoble University, where he studied.

Ben started his ski coaching career in the French teaching system working with the ESF in Alpe d'Huez. A change of direction took him to Val d'Isere where he completed his qualifications gaining the BASI Level 4 ISTD with equivalence. Ben has been teaching Alpine and Telemark skiing since 2003.

In the summer Ben runs Sports Coaching Camps for international kids in the UK, combined with some web design and photography.

Ben is a French and Business graduate from Oxford Brookes University.

Kieran Buchanan

- Val d'Isere

Kieran grew up ski racing in Scotland. After several seasons teaching in the Alps, he then decided to concentrate on finishing his BASI exams, Kieran holds the BASI Level 4 ISTD with equivalence.

He has built up a wealth of ski coaching experience from across Europe, he loves sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm his tudents.

In the summer he work as an Event Manager and continues his struggle to become a single figure golfer.

Kieran also runs Powder8s, which offers solo skiers the chance to come to Val and experience fantastic off piste courses with like minded skiers.

Scott Messer

- Val d'Isere

Scott from Glasgow, learnt to ski in Scotland. Starting in Glenshee he then worked in Italy, learning to appreciate all things Italian including skiing, pizza and coffee.

After a number of season in Verbier Scott has now found himself as a solid menber of the TDCski team in Val d'Isere.

Scott spends summers in the southern hemisphere working in New Zealand.

Scott holds the BASI Level 4 ISTD with French equivalence.

Nicko Braxton

- Val d'Isere

Nicko started his career in Val d'Isere more than 20 years ago. After a couple of detours to University, to train as an accountant, and various finance jobs, the lure of the mountains was just too great to overcome. Nicko qualified as a ski instructor with a local French ski school and joined the TDCski team in 2007.

His passion is definitely for the off-piste. Taking people into the Val d'Isere backcountry, to places that they will love and to which they wouldn't normally go.

In the summer he works as a sea kayaking coach and guide living in Cornwall with his wife Rachel, and family. He has competed in the Etape du Tour for the last 5 years and also enjoys triathlons.

Nicko holds the BASI Level 4 ISTD qualification, with full French equivalence.

He is also part of the product test team for Ski and Board Magazine.

Paul Garner

- Val d'Isere

A director of The Development Centre, Paul is now based in the Malvern Hills in England with his wife and 3 children.

He still spends much of the year in the Alps and whether on skis or on a bike his passion for the mountains still burns strongly. Having lived in the Alps for 15 years Paul is a highly experienced ski coach who knows the Espace Killy and surrounding area as well as anyone.

Paul represented the GB demo team at the 2011 Interski Congress in St Anton and is a BASI trainer. He has BASI Level 4 ISTD with French equivalence.

Studying for an MSc in Sports Coaching he remains committed to developing as both a coach and coach developer.

Giles Lewis

- Val d'Isere

Gi has been skiing Val d’Isère for over 20 years. He studied Oxford University and gained a blue in Rugby Union.

Giles has a wealth of coaching experience with recreational skiers and instructors.

He holds the BASI Level 4 ISTD qualification with French equivalence, and is a Level 3 race coach. He is a BASI trainer and member of the British Interski Team. Giles holds the BASI Level 4 ISTD with French equivalence.

The Espace Killy is Gi’s favourite area and he considers it too good to leave and is permanently based here with his lovely wife Alex and family.

Colin Tanner

- Val d'Isere

Colin has been based in Val d'Isere since 1994/95, and worked for bars, ski shops and French Ski Schools before setting up TDCski.

Colin has an insatiable appetite for ski coaching and spends his summers in New Zealand, where he works for the Coronet Peak Ski school and runs a successful gap-year business based in Queenstown SITCo Ski Instructor Courses

Colin holds BASI Level 4 ISTD with French equivalence.

Designed to allow individuals to get access to quality and specific ski instruction, groups are kept between 3-6 people,

Private Development Lessons

For those individuals, or groups, who would like to benefit from their own instructor, private lessons are a great.

Off-Piste Ski Lessons

Learn to ski powder in either a group clinic or private lesson format. Ski the whole mountain, go on adventures that you.

Children's Ski Lessons

Groups or Privates, Teenagers or Children. Safe, Fun and Inspiring. Fantastic all round ski coaching for 10 - 17yr olds.
