We realise that things are constantly changing at the moment, and there are decisions being made that are out of our hands. A lot of these decisions are affecting what we can do and where we can travel.
For whatever reason, if the Covid pandemic means that things change and the lesson or clinic is not possible, then you know that you can easily change the booking, transfer it or get a full refund.

Tignes boasts some impressive ski touring options.
Although Tignes is well known as one of the best lift accessed off-piste ski resorts in the World, the lesser known ski touring options are equally impressive.
With more and more people exploring off-piste and bigger skis making the off-piste more accessible, ski touring has become the growth area in the Snowsports industry.
Escape from the crowded pistes and the easy access off-piste areas, earn your turns, explore the backcountry, the appeal of ski touring is understandably growing. For people who aren’t afraid to hike to find themselves some fresh untracked snow, Tignes is the ideal destination to learn how to ski tour, or to explore beyond the main resort boundaries.
“Ski Randonnée” is French for ski touring and it requires some specialist equipment. Firstly, you’ll need ski touring bindings that lift at the heel when hiking uphill, but lock down when you are ready to ski. You will also need skins that are fitted to the base of your skis when climbing. Skins prevent the skis from sliding backwards but allow the skis to slide forwards.
Specialist ski touring boots are also popular, being lighter and easier to walk in, however they don’t give as much downhill performance and regular ski boots can be used if you are only going on a small tour.
If you’d like to hire ski touring equipment, then our partner shop Tignes Spirit offers TDCSki clients a significant discount discount on the public rate.
Open to people comfortable skiing off piste.
Our TDCSki touring clinics are open to people comfortable skiing off piste and run throughout the winter but are especially popular in Spring - the classic ski touring season.
If you already have experience of ski touring and want to enjoy some of Tignes’ classic routes then get in touch.

Rab was Fab!
We had 3 lessons with Rab, we were hoping to improve our technique and speed. Rab introduced small improvements one at a time, and reinforced them throughout the lessons. Helped me through a bit of a confidence crisis! Thoroughly recommend...

Great Ski Lessons
Just finished a two week holiday in Tignes. Did a clinic in the first week and private lessons the next. TDC are truly excellent, really professional and great at picking up what you’re doing wrong and how to fix it. Can’t recommend more highly!

Best Ski Lessons in Tignes
Had private lessons, coaching clinics and off piste courses with TDC over the last couple of years. They're a fantastic company. Charlie and Rab are brilliant teachers who can help transform your skiing. Great lessons which are always enjoyable.

Transform your "Can't to Can"
The brilliant thing about TDC is that you never feel outside your comfort zone because they've given you the skills and the self-belief to ski those steeps, those bumps and the off-piste. I haven't stretched my comfort zone; my comfort zone has just got bigger!
