Our Terms and Conditions

Client Cancellation:

If a cancellation is made at least four weeks prior to the date of the first booked lesson and payment has been made in full, a full refund will be provided. For cancellations made within four weeks of the booking, TDCski will attempt to resell the session. If successful in reselling the lesson, a full refund will be issued. If the session cannot be resold, no refund will be provided, and the full payment will be retained. All payments are made in Euros, and TDCski is not responsible for any losses or gains due to exchange rate fluctuations.

Coach Illness or Injury:

In the unfortunate event that a TDCski coach becomes ill or injured, we may not be able to run your session as scheduled. We will notify you as soon as possible if this occurs. In some cases, illness or injury may happen last minute. If this happens, TDCski will make every effort to find a replacement coach or offer a full refund.

Weather & Lift Operations:

TDCski is not responsible for weather conditions or limited piste/lift operations and will not cancel or issue refunds due to inclement weather or restricted lift access.

Client Illness/Injury:

No refunds will be issued in the unfortunate case of client illness or injury during the booking period. We will, however, be happy to provide a letter for your insurance claim.

Liability:

All TDCski coaches are fully qualified to British and international standards and hold the French ‘equivalence’. Additionally, all coaches have private professional liability insurance. However, THE DEVELOPMENT CENTRE accepts no liability for clients during instruction. Clients are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate winter sports insurance, including third-party and rescue coverage, for their activities.

Off-Piste Skiing:

TDCski coaches take all possible precautions to ensure client safety when skiing off-piste. However, clients must be aware that skiing off-piste carries an increased risk due to the unpredictable nature of the environment. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure they have insurance coverage for off-piste skiing at the time of the lesson.

    Exceptional Lessons from TDC

So far this season I have been fortunate enough to have three lessons with TDC Instructor David Walker and they have all been brilliant. In both the theory and its practical application, David clearly communicates exactly what you need to do to bring your skiing on to the next level. He is kind, patient and fun to ski with. They have been a pleasure.

    Best ski guide ever

A group from the US hired Steve for our first day guided tour of the ski area. Besides being an excellent skier he was super knowledgeable about history, culture, best runs, etc. Well worth the money to be brought up to speed so quickly and with such good humor.

Amazing time learning to ski with TDC…

We had an amazing time learning to ski with Steve from TDC and his patience in getting the three of us up from a standing start, to skiing within three lessons was awesome and all this whilst sharing his knowledge of this beautiful area at the same time! A great experience & we would definitely recommend TDC to anyone else wanting lessons in Val D’Isere and we hope to be back for more ourselves soon.

    Absolutely first class

First time skiing and booked with TDC. Met Dave day one and instantly felt at ease. Looked after all of us, spent time moving us on, was patient and encouraging. Would recommend anyone to book with Dave and your holiday will be better for it. Thank you.

    Excellent coaching

I skied with both Ross and Kim over a 2 week period January / February 2023. Putting this into context, I had a horrible ski accident last March, and was a little anxious and tentative. Ross immediately put me at ease, and had me back playing in the powder by day 2; his coaching was excellent and restored a lot of my confidence. Kim followed that up in week 2 and really helped me to work on my technique. Anna in the office makes organising coaching so straightforward and is so efficient. Makes life that little bit easier! Highly, highly recommend skiing with TDC. So much so that I’m going back in March!
