We realise that things are constantly changing at the moment, and there are decisions being made that are out of our hands. A lot of these decisions are affecting what we can do and where we can travel.
We want you to book with confidence.
For whatever reason, if the Covid pandemic means that things change and the lesson or clinic is not possible, then you know that you can easily change the booking, transfer it or get a full refund.

Although Val d’Isere is widely recognised as the best lift accessed off-piste skiing in the World, it also has some fantastic ski touring options.
With more and more people venturing off-piste and bigger skis making the off-piste more accessible, ski touring has become the growth niche in the Snowsports industry. Ski lessons specifically geared towards touring allow us to truly escape the crowds.
Earn your turns, explore the backcountry skiing on offer, the appeal of ski touring is growing for people who aren’t afraid of a hike to find themselves some untouched virgin snow. Val d’Isere is the perfect destination to learn how to tour, or to explore beyond the main resort boundaries.
Ski Touring is called “Ski Randonnée” in French, and it requires some specialist equipment. The first essential is ski touring bindings that lift at the heel when walking uphill, but lock down when you are ready to descend. You will also need skins that are fitted to the base of your skis when climbing. Skins prevent the skis from sliding backwards but allow the skis to slide forwards.
A lot of people also use specialist ski touring boots which are lighter and easier to walk in, but don’t give as much downhill performance. Regular ski boots can be used if you are only going on a small tour.
If you’d like to hire ski touring equipment, then Snowberry in Val d’Isere offers TDCSki clients a 20% discount on the public rate.
